I’m confused as to why there are such steep drop offs after an announcement from the current admin regarding trade or tariffs.
It seems pretty clear they will implement extreme high tariffs as a threat in negotiations, and then back off to get a deal done. Especially when the market reacts negatively, they showed on Liberation Day these are really just negotiation tactics.
Why does the market tank so aggressively every time?
Please withhold thoughts on Trump for this discussion and focus on the trade deals and markets reactions.
