when the needle is buried in extreme fear the vibe everywhere is doom. people say btc is dead, alts are scams, and everyone is just waiting for lower. but historically that has been where some of the best entries show up.
swing to extreme greed and it is the opposite. funding rates get crazy, influencers call for price discovery, and leverage piles up. not long after the market usually reminds everyone that nothing goes straight up.
the index does not move price by itself but it is a snapshot of crowd psychology. and in crypto crowd psychology basically is the market.
feels like more people are treating it as background noise these days though. maybe it is becoming a boring normal too, just another tool on the dashboard.
