Forgive me if this is a stupid question but do I have to sell my crypto this cycle or can I hold it long term? Up until last year, I only exclusively invested in the stock market (primarily the S&P500). My plan in the stock market was always to keep contributing and not to sell or touch that money until I planed on retiring. Is crypto a totally different ball game? I started investing in crypto last year and my plan was to buy and hold for many years (similar to how I am managing my brokerage account). However, when I browsed through this sub it looks like everyone’s advice is to take profits during this cycle. Will I lose out in the long run if I just decide to buy and hold? I have a decent chunk invested in the Iso 20022 coins (XRP, HBAR, ALGO). Is buying and holding a bad strategy when it comes to crypto? Does the phrase “you can’t time the market” apply?
