Is Electrum Still a Solid Bitcoin Wallet or Too Old-School Now?

Electrum was the first crypto wallet I ever used back when Bitcoin was still under $5k. It was lightweight, fast, and did the job without frills. I liked that it didn’t force me to download the full blockchain and that I could set custom fees for transactions.

But now, after years of updates (or lack thereof?), it kind of feels stuck in time. The interface hasn’t really changed, and it’s clearly not built for anything beyond Bitcoin. That’s fine if BTC is all you care about but for someone trying to manage multiple coins or interact with DeFi, it feels limiting.

Anyone still rocking Electrum regularly? Do the security benefits still outweigh the lack of features?
